Who We Are

The growing membership of Victims Foundation is comprised of victims of violent crime who are both dissatisfied with the use of victims in politics, and who believe it does not honor our personal tragedies to abuse anyone else in our name.

Many special interest groups parade victims of violent crime in front of the public and lawmakers for the purpose of changing laws (seeking the sympathy vote) without any reasonable expectation that those changes will in fact improve public safety.

Our laws should be based upon empirical evidence of what works, and not driven by emotionally charged propaganda.

While we recognize the need to for appropriate punishment, we do not want our personal tragedies to be used by special interest groups to advance their own hidden agendas.
